Technically it would be our THIRD civil war,as the revolutionary war was
a war between brittish subjects and their king, led by a commissioned major in the english army, Goerge Washington. JD. |

Quote:
A civil war is when two or more groups fight for power of the centeral government. The revolution wasn't that wasn't the case, America didn't want to take over london and england. and the War of Northern Agression (aka-civil war) the south didn't want control of the Union (north), they were an independant nation and the north invaded. This is going to be our first civil war. Civil wars are the most deadly for a nation and this one will make everything else weve done pale in comparision. I am not looking forward to it. |
Re: Download: Civil War II, The Coming Breakup of America by Thomas W. Chittum
In his Prepare Yourself chapter he actually spouts this nonsense:
I strongly recommend against keeping a firearm in the home. Each year, many children kill themselves playing with home-kept firearms, and such a tragedy can happen even though you take the strictest precautions such as locking your gun in a cabinet. Furthermore, even experienced and professional gun handlers such as policemen and soldiers frequently shoot themselves while handling their firearms. I've almost been shot by accidentally discharged firearms more times than I can recall at one sitting. And with only one exception it was by someone familiar with firearms, someone who had been trained in their handling and knew better. They simply screwed up, just as you will too if you handle firearms long enough. Firearms are inherently dangerous, plain and simple, even in the hands of an expert. I'll pass on this one. :thumpdown [no disrespect to the poster] |

Yeah, I remember that. It's the only part of the book I didn't like. The rest is great.
He later recanted much of that stance on his website. Too bad he didn't write a second edition. |
